Nothline is a very popular and productive variety grown for its large (16mm), purple-blue berries. The berries have excellent flavour fresh, and can also be used for baking, preserves and frozen. The tree has an upright, spreading habit and will sucker over time making it suitable for wind breaks or hedges. It is covered with clusters of white blossoms in the spring and the leaves turn golden yellow in the fall.

Saskatoons are slow-growing, so some fruit will be produced in 1-3 years, but it may take up to 15 years before a full crop is produced. Better fruit production if a second cultivar is nearby. Amend clay soil for best success. Saskatoons are juglone tolerant.
