Sage - Pineapple

Pineapple sage grows long, scarlet-red flower spikes above a base of green-silver leaves. The flowers are loved by bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. The plant tolerates poor soil as long as it is well-draining. The flowers are a bright addition to salads, beverages, and can be sugared and added on cakes. The leaves have a strong pineapple scent when bruised and can be used in drinks, teas, and cooking.
