Marshmallow produces tall stalks of white/pink flowers. It has been used medicinally for centuries, and the root was originally used to make marshmallow candies. The root has been used medicinally for sore throats and indigestion. The leaves are great in teas, or can be used in salads, or as a pot green. Prefers moist soil. Native across Eurasia. Biennial (flowers the second year).
