A very hardy and attractive fruit shrub with lacy white flowers in the spring, bright red berry clusters late in the summer and vibrant red, maple-shaped leaves in the fall. The red berries can be eaten fresh (tart, but tasty), or used to make jams or preserves.
This low maintenance, compact shrub grows with an upright, rounding habit, is native to North America and tolerates clay soil, juglones, and shade.
