Cherry - Carmine Jewel

One of the tart cherries from the University of Saskatchewan collection. Carmine Jewel consistently produces a good crop of small (3.8g), dark red, almost black berries that are very firm, with a good flesh to pit ratio. The large, dark red berries (3.8 g) taste sweet and tangy and ripen earlier than other in the series. Brix rating of 17. Excellent for fresh eating, preserves, or juice.
